The new Carpenters Union Additions & Renovations provides an event venue for large and small meetings. The expansion project was based on the need to better service the 17,000 members KML Council of Carpenters. Initially the concept was driven by the need to create a facility that could support a 750 to 1,000 seat Meeting/Banquet Space - including a pre-function space, Check-in, Coat Rooms, Kitchen, Storage & Rest Rooms. The project grew to include offices, conference rooms, restrooms and a new canopied drop-off.

Varischetti Holdings LP
Varischetti Holdings, LP, of Brockway, Pennsylvania, is a family-owned organization that includes a real estate investment firm, a powder metal manufacturing business, and a gas field services company. MCF initially completed a preliminary Feasibility Study -this study assessed the space program, site conditions and plan options, stacking strategies and space planning options. Additionally a flood plain analysis was conducted along with zoning considerations and parking. The new building provides administrative office space for Varischetti Holdings employees, as a result of expanding business operations. The client was seeking a design solution that was flexible and responsive to their divisions functionality and needs.

The Architecture Office Relocation & Renovation project came about in response to the need for a fresh new space that would allow for future expansion & firm growth.The design challenge was to reimagine a new office for an architectural firm with a 130+ year history and convey the company’s forward-looking vision and mission. A series of surveys of staff, kicked off the design process, to analyze their current working habits versus desired working habits. In summary, the goal was to have an open plan that created neighborhoods without rigid physical barriers but still allowed for privacy. Additionally, the office layout was influenced by the firm’s 2020 strategic plan that highlighted the principles of, People, Planet, Art & History.
